Penicillin - the secret weapon in blue cheese

Penicillin was discovered in 1928 by Mr Flemming in a UK hospital out of a green mould that grew on bread.

Did you know that blue cheese actual contains cultures of Pencillium mould.

The strains of Pencillium in the cheese are destroyed by your stomach acid though.

So for now it's just great on your salad and best to keep it in the "good" fats corner.
